TV Series, Suits to End After Season 9 as Ratings Fell on Meghan Markle’s Exit

The legal drama ‘Suits’, which made Meghan Markle popular, will end after Season 9 after the series failed to recover from the exit of Meghan Markle and her co-star Patrick J. Adams.

It was announced on Wednesday that the legal drama has been commissioned for one final series, featuring 10 episodes, after the remainder of Season 8 airs in 2019.

Confirming an end to the series, creator Aaron Korsh told Variety:

I look forward to enraging and hopefully sometimes delighting you with the final episodes.

Ratings never seemed to recover from the exit of central characters Mike Ross and Rachel Zane, who was played by Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle.

Rachel and Mike both made their exit at the end of Season 7, following their wedding.

In August, FOX News reported that the return of Season 8 had lost 1.2 million viewers per show through the first three episodes.
