Not many rappers can actively produce a film score, but El-P is something of a rare breed. Though his Blade Runner 2049 score was ultimately rejected, he bounced back by signing on to provide original music for Tom Hardy’s Capone. Having previously scored the 2004 film Bomb The System, as well as producing countless futuristic bangers, it’s clear that El is no stranger to instrumental storytelling. The depth of his talent is unveiled with “This Is Al That’s Left,” the song that ultimately goes on to close out the film.
