Nigeria mourns as beloved afrobeat singer and former Marlian records signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba known as MohBad dies at the age of 27.

Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as MohBad, has passed away at the age of 27. The former Marlian Records signee’s death was reported on Tuesday.

Music executive Ovie conveyed the heartbreaking news via his X page #Ovieo on Tuesday evening, confirming MohBad’s passing with a tweet that read, “Confirmed. MohBad is dead. A sad, sad day.”

Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji, popularly known as Olamide, also expressed his sorrow on his social media handle with a cryptic message, “Damn! Mohbad (sic),” followed by another tweet that simply said, “This life (sic).”

Shortly after the news of MohBad’s passing broke, an old video of Bella Shmurda mentioning that MohBad was struggling with mental health issues resurfaced online.

Some of MohBad’s well-known songs include “KPK,” “Peace,” “Komajesun,” “Pariwo,” and more.

As of the time of this report, information regarding the cause of his death and the location where he passed away remains unclear.
