United confirm the arrival of Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern

Bayern chairman in a press conference on Saturday has confirmed that Bastian Schweinsteiger has agreed a deal to join Manchester United, and it is believed that the world cup-winning midfielder has accepted a three-year contract from United worth  £7.5 million a season.

The German international reportedly told Bayern chairman of his intention to leave Allianz Arena and face a new challenge in England.

Both clubs have confirmed they have reached an agreement over the 30-year-old midfielder.
