Liverpool Defender Dejan Lovren’s Wife Cheats on Him With A Forestry Worker

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren missed the Euro 2016 tournament because he discovered his wife was having an affair with a forestry worker.

The Croatian football star, who joined Liverpool for £20million in 2014 and earns £65,000-a-week, whisked his wife Anita away for a make or break holiday after discovering she was dating an old friend, Dario Torbic, who is believed to make just £200-a-month.

Lovren, 27, was ‘hurt’ and ’embarrassed’ when he discovered the infidelity but friends say he was determined to make his marriage to the mother of his two children work.

The couple have been together since they were 16 years old but the relationship has recently been going through a rocky patch.

The Sun on Sunday reports that Anita met up with Dario last December when she visited her home city of Zagreb, and upon her return to the UK met up with him again at a hotel in Liverpool.

After that meeting the pair exchanged hundreds of messages and in March she briefly returned to Croatia, where she consulted with a divorce lawyer, before returning the family’s home with their children Elena, three, and Josip, one.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Dejan and Anita’s marriage has been rocky for some time and she sought refuge with her old friend Dario.

‘They had a whirlwind affair and she told Dario she loved him.

The source added that when Lovren found out: ‘It hurt his pride and affected his football. It’s usually footballers cheating on Wags, not the other way round.’

The centre-back arranged the holiday in June despite knowing Croatia would be playing in the Euros, and also fell out spectacularly with  Croatia manager Ante Cacic leading him to be axed from the squad – leading some fans to suggest he started the row on purpose.
