Halsey Die 4 Me

In “Die 4 Me,” Halsey sees regret in a past relationship with an unworthy man. The track follows a complete turnaround from her last June 2022 track “So Good.” Halsey saw inspiration from Post Malone’s September 2019 single “Die For Me,” which Halsey was also featured.

On June 15, 2022, Halsey first mentioned the track’s existence on Twitter, which was hidden in her stacks. When she was questioned about what was hidden in her notes, she replied:

The version of die for me that’s all me prolly Hahahaha

After she had been performing her original verse during her summer 2022 tour, she announced on February 17, 2023, that the solo demo would be released within the following week. In an Instagram story, Halsey proclaimed that the newly written version of the track, was only voiced by her:

But all my verses I wrote myself. Spit them right out like a bad taste in my mouth.
