The first collaboration between rapper and singer Machine Gun Kelly and British metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon, “maybe” is the fourth single off of Machine Gun Kelly’s sixth studio album, a mainstream sellout.

The song was first revealed on February 24th, 2022, when Machine Gun Kelly played snippets of two unreleased songs from his upcoming album on The Late Late Show, one of the songs being the album’s third single, “ay!”, and the other song being “maybe”.

The second of the two snippets was this song, called “Maybe” which has been released later on March 16, 2022, after an announcement on Colson’s Twitter profile.

MGK and Oli Sykes, the lead singer of Bring Me The Horizon who provides vocals on “maybe”, first performed the song together at Emo Nite LA on March 4, 2022. Oli Sykes has always shown respect for Machine Gun Kelly’s pop-punk work since the time of the release of his first pop-punk album, Tickets To My Downfall.
