The Kid Laroi I Can’t Go Back To The Way It Was
“I Can’t Go Back To The Way It Was (Intro)” finds LAROI reflecting on sad past events that had a lasting impression on him, from losing his loved ones to the hardships he faced with his mother while he struggled to face those demons.
The song’s production offers a basic blend of sounds that clearly allows LAROI to express the full gamut of his emotions. The song’s theme is somehow comparable to the songs “TELL ME WHY” and “WITHOUT YOU,” which have a similar theme of not wanting to let go of the past.
LAROI shared an official preview of the song on January 12, 2023, revealing that it was indeed the opening track to his album, The First Time. Later, however, he contradicted the claims and announced that the song won’t serve as the lead single. Alongside the song’s release, he also revealed that he would be releasing “Love Again” as the lead single on January 27, 2023.
