There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley and he will be charged to court, EFCC speaks again on the detention of Naira Marley

Two nights ago, Zlatan and three others were released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but the most famous of them all, Naira Marley was held back.

Premium Times has now made a quick check with EFCC on why the singer was not granted administrative bail like others, and here’s what the commission’s spokesman, Tony Orilade said.

“There is overwhelming evidence against Naira Marley; so we can’t afford to release him on administrative bail like Zlatan and the three others.

“That Zlatan has been released does not mean they have been discharged and acquitted. Naira Marley is still in our custody and will be charged to court soon and we will make the charges known in an official statement soon.”
