“Call for entry starts July 22- August 30, 2014
The ninth edition of indigenous award show that celebrates Nigerian music, Headies, has been slated to hold on Saturday, 25 October, in Lagos at a yet-to-be announced venue.
The organisers of the awards have requested for submission of music materials for nomination, stating that only music materials released between July 2013 and June 2014 would qualify for entry. Entry opens July 22 and closes August 30.
The Headies – formerly known as Hip-Hop World Awards first held in 2006. Awards are given to artistes in various categories including rap, RnB, dancehall and alternative.
Past winners of the awards include Tuface Idibia, Dbanj, Wizkid, among others.
The organisers are also yet to reveal this year’s hosts and special artiste performances but said that the show would be broadcast live to over 10 million viewers in Africa and beyond.”
