Eminem has unleashed a furious freestyle against Trump, saying he’s “working on an album”. The rapper is weighing in on the 2016 Election with his new song “Campaign Speech.”
The nearly eight-minute long track touches on wide range of topics, referencing everything from Donald Trump to Colin Kaepernick to George Zimmerman.
The rapper doesn’t address the current political environment until around the four-minute mark where he goes after Trump, “Consider me a dangerous man/ But you should be afraid of this dang candidate/ You say Trump don’t kiss A$$ like a puppet?/ ‘Cause he runs his campaign with his own cash for the funding?/ And that’s what you wanted?/ A f****n’ loose cannon who’s blunt with his hand on the button/ Who doesn’t have to answer to no one?/ Great idea!”
The rapper also takes aim at the candidate’s supporters. “Run the faucet / I’m a dunk a bunch of Trump supporters underwater.”
The almost 8-minute rap has left many people astounded, especially because no one expected Eminem to blast Trump in his song; they have always been on good terms.
Rolling Stone reports that in 2004, Trump showed up at Eminem’s album launch and gave a heartwarming speech.
Here’s what Trump reportedly said:
“When the Shady Party called and told me there’s going to be a convention, I said it’s got to be a really big one—and it’s got to be right here in New York. Because this is the best city anywhere in the world. Am I right? Of course I’m right. I’m always right — I’m Donald Trump, I’m always right. I know a winner when I see one, and Donald Trump is telling you right now, Slim Shady is a winner. He’s got brains, he’s got guts, and he’s got Donald Trump’s vote!”
Campaign Speech has been a trending topic on American social media and has left many people dazed or angry or simply in awe of him.
