‘I’m not ready to get married but I want a child’ – AKA

It’s no news that popular South Africanrapper, AKA arrived Lagos just hours back for the launch of Pulse Radio and the weeklyIndustry Night series. But what might come as a surprise is that the 27-year old wants a child – but NOT marriage.

‘I’m not ready for marriage now but I think I’m ready to have a child. I think I’ll make a good dad, but I want a son. I can teach him manly things but I wouldn’t know what to teach a girl if I have a daughter.’

Just this past weekend, Olamide and girlfriend welcomed a son. Wizkid, Ice Prince and Wande Coal are just some of the Nigerian artistes with children outside wedlock. With the increasing number of artistes with children out of wedlock, it appears that this trend is here to stay.
