Jussie Smollet (Jamal) confirms his exit from TV series ‘Empire’

Jussie Smollet has confirmed the exit of his character Jamal from the hit FOX series “Empire.”

In the episode which aired on Wednesday, May11, 2016, Jamal took the bullet for his H0mophobic father, Lucious Lyon, who had earlier told him he would be happy if he died from AIDS.

Jamal stepped in to stop Freda from shooting Lucious after she found out Lucious killed her father in the prison.

The episode concluded in a cliffhanger with Jamal Lyon in surgery.
