Meet DJ Hacord, Nigeria’s Next rated DJ

If you haven’t heard of DJ Hacord yet, it’s time to wake up and smell the beats! Bilahu Biodun Akorede, better known by his stage name DJ Hacord, is making serious waves in the Nigerian music industry with his mixtapes and performances. This talented Disc Jockey started his journey as a teenager and has since turned his passion into a thriving professional career.
“I used to play at some events on my street with just my phone because I love music and always downloaded all the new songs,” DJ Hacord recalls with a smile. “That’s how my passion for DJing started, and I went professional in 2013.”

Hacord who graduated from Lautech has been a household name in Ogbomosho where he schooled and has since taken over as the next big thing. Before making it big, DJ Hacord honed his skills through formal training. “I went for DJ training in 2012, back when DJs still used CDs,” he shares. “This training laid the foundation for my success, enabling me to master the turntable and refine my sound.

My journey took off when I began dropping mixtapes that quickly gained popularity. My debut mixtape, “Best of Burna Boy,” released last year, set the stage for a string of hits. I followed up with a series of successful releases, including “Piano Xperience Mixtape,” “Wizkid x Davido Mixtape,” “Naija Throwback Mixtape,” “Summer Afro Piano Mixtape,” “Afrobeats Exclusive,” “Wake Me Up Mixtape,” “Feel Good Amapiano Mixtape,” and “Amapiano Rooftop Mix.” Each mixtape showcases his exceptional song selection and ability to keep the audience grooving for hours. “I have Amapiano rooftop mix video on my YouTube channel and I’m also working on dropping Afrobeats video mix on my YouTube channel.”

“I want to make people happy with my mixes,” DJ Hacord says. And it’s clear he’s doing just that. His mix of genres—Afrobeats, hip hop, Amapiano, R&B, and EDM—caters to a wide range of musical tastes, ensuring there’s something for everyone in his sets. One of DJ Hacord’s standout qualities is his impeccable song selection, which sets him apart from other DJs. “My ability to blend different genres seamlessly and keep the energy high has earned me my dedicated following,” he says confidently.

With a career spanning over a decade, DJ Hacord has established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian DJ scene. His passion, skill, and dedication continue to drive him forward, promising even more exciting projects in the future. He’s currently working on a new mixtape titled “Club Trap” and is also busy with the video for his single “Wake Me Up,” featuring Hotkid. The track has already created a buzz, and fans are eagerly anticipating the visual release.
