President Goodluck Jonathan visited Omadino in Warri, Delta State, on June 3, 2014, Tuesday, for a ground breaking ceremony of a private university.

The Eagle Heights University was set up by a close friend of Jonathan, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pastor Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who is also the founder of the Word of Life Bible Church Warri.

Tuesday’s event took place just a couple of weeks after a similar ceremony for Nigeria Maritime University, also in Delta State.

President Jonathan was criticized for paying
attention to launching private universities, while the problems of Nigerian education sector remain forgotten.

The situation is especially bad with Nigerian polytechnics which have been shut since last year due to failure to reach the agreement on
terminating ASUP / COEASU strike.
