Revealed! How The Simpsons show predicted Trump’s victory 16 years ago

In a 2000 episode of popular cartoon, titled Bart To The Future, was president.

The iconic cartoon’s creator, Matt Groening, said Trump was the most absurd joke name they could think of at that time and that was why his character was featured:

‘Trump was of course the most absurd placeholder joke name that we could think of at the time, and that’s still true. It’s beyond satire.’ 

Dan Greaney, a writer for the Simpsons also said that the clip had a dark message behind it:

‘It was a warning to America. That just seemed like the logical last stop before hitting bottom.  It was pitched because it was consistent with the vision of America going insane.’
