Richard Caring, popularly known as “Sir Shifty” is allegedly facing Britain’s largest ever divorce payout after reportedly leaving his wife for a Brazilian lover half his age.
The 68 years old multi-millionaire, could be forced to pay out up to £350million to his wife Jacqui, 67, after apparently dumping her for his 35-year-old lover.
The businessman, who owns a string of exclusive London eateries including The Ivy and Le Caprice, is said to have moved out of the home he shared with his wife of 45 years, straight into a home with his lover, Patricia Mondinni, with whom he has a young son.
A friend told The Sun: ‘Richard left Jacqui in February and is very happy with Patricia now. They had been living apart for some time before the split.’
The father-of-two married Jacqui(his ex wife), the daughter of a retired British Army major, after meeting her at a catwalk show in 1948. She gave up her modelling career just three days after they were introduced.
At one point they moved to Hong Kong and had two sons – Jamie, a vice-president of MTV Networks Europe, and Ben, who works for Soho House – before returning to the UK.
