About The Project “War Against Drug Abuse”:

In his words

“Before embarking on this project which took me months to complete, I had explored and had series of researches on Drug Abuse and Addition, how it has affected a lot of lives negatively. During my course of research I found out that there has never been any record of Body Art on Drug abuse.”

For this reason, I took the challenge upon myself as a Versatile body artist and social activist with a sole vision of healing the world via the medium of Body Art, to wage war against this deviant act by creating a conceptual Body Painting, illustrating the various negative effects of drugs in order to help drug addicts know the risks and consequences of illicit drugs as well as helping them come to term of abstaining from it.

Knowing fully well that Drugs are bad, is not necessarily breaking news. But for those trapped in addiction, the negative side effects may not feel as obvious. However, they are a present danger, and occur whether or not an addict recognizes them.
Individuals who abuse drugs are negatively affected in different areas of their lives, as addiction adversely leads to outcomes that impact them both personally and socially. The dangers of drug abuse include health issues, academic implications, legal consequences, and familial/relationship complications.

Despite its risks and consequences, It is important to know that drug addiction is a condition that can be addressed, treated and successfully managed. It can as well be prevented. Health professionals, as well as supportive family members or friends, can help one to recover from an addiction. Therefore,  it is in our collective interest to join hands in waging war against the use of illicit drugs and also finding a lasting solution the problem of drug abuse in our society. Drug abuse is considered worse than any other issues confronting us in our society as it can constrain our future and destroy everything we have now.

My major aim of setting up this project is to help ensure that we reach out to majority of the entire public so they could abstain from this Deviance act.

Drug Abuse Affects One’s Heath Physically and Psychologically. Individuals who abuse drugs build up a tolerance to the effects, and as they become more addicted, their health worsens. Physical risks to health include heart problems, HIV/AIDS, damage to the lungs, and seizures. Possible psychological consequences include anxiety, poor judgment, impaired memory, and even psychosis. substance abuse also creates a much higher risk of death. According to NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) statistics, approximately one quarter of deaths are due to drug addiction.

Individuals who use drugs are at risk of legal consequences. Many drugs are illegal under federal law, and the charges for serious drug offenses come with very high costs.

Drug addiction often leads to serious difficulties in social relationships. Family members and friends are affected by the health and legal consequences of drug abuse brought on by the addicted individual, with divorce, loss of child custody, and destroyed friendships being just a few of the negative possible outcomes.

Drug abuse is a self-destructive indulgence that leads to significant problems and distress. Given the enormity of the damage of drug addiction to mankind, no effort should be spared to curb its menace.  All hands on deck as we collectively raise up to Wage everlasting war against Drug abuse in our society.
