“Why We Are Investigating Davido” – NDLEA

“The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the body is investigating pop star, Davido following activities in the video of his Meek Mill featured single, ‘Fans Mi’.”

The agency is currently investigating the matter and would take necessary actions on Davido following the depictions of hard drugs in the Sesan Ogunro directed video.

According to the NDLEA’s Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, the agency is investigating the matter and would take necessary action.“The agency considers the musical video ‘Fans Mi’ inappropriate and indecent. It has the tendency to negatively influence and induce drug use and trafficking. Besides, it is counter-productive on the campaign against drug production, trafficking and abuse. The agency is investigating the matter and will take necessary action.”

In the video, Davido scammed a criminal when he sold him yam flour packaged as hard drugs. Davido was later shown having a bite after he was served a portion of the prepared yam flour in the video.

Released few weeks ago, the video has already crossed 1 million views on video sharing site, Youtube.
