NIGERIA “TOP 10” SONGS THAT ROCKS 2013

I have been anticipating for this day to come, since I dropped the first top10 that rocked 2012 this same time last year, now that the anticipation is over. Sit back, relax and enjoy the list.
There is no doubt that the music industry in produced more hitz this year , than last year 2012. This is our second year of reviewing the “TOP 10” of the year. Three (3) artists are making a return to this year list. Wow the music industry is really the fastest growing industry in .

Shout out to artists that didn’t make this year list, we recognise your hard works, but everybody can’t be on this list

Here is the TOP 10 SONGS THAT ROCKS 2013.

DUROSOKE – OLAMIDE, this song became an anthem immediately after olamide dropped this hit single, he has proven to be a great rapper and lyricist repin his mother tongue after the demise of legendary DAGRIN. No doubt olamide has created a niche for himself on the rap scene,he was the biggest winner @ the headies awards,were he bang 3awards. he signed many endorsement deals this year.

SKELEWU – makes a return to the top10 list. Skelewu almost turned to another GOBE which was one of Davido’s hitz this year. Skelewu became an instant hit immediately after davido dropped the single few months back. The dance step which was likened to DAMMY KRANE “SABI DANCE”. The video caused stir on the social media. He has proven his worth not looking at the controversy surrounding him this year.

PERSONALLY – P’SQUARE, makes a return to the top10 list. The Okoye brothers popularly known as PETER AND PAUL has really made everybody love this song radically, though it’s a tribute to late pop icon micheal Jackson. The video was professionally done by their manager/elder brother JUDE ENGINEES. This song brought accolades by MJ brother Jamie Jackson. No doubt they have been consistent over the years. We are expecting more hitz next year.

LIMPOPO – , When people thought it was over for KCEE he fought the battle and conquered his haters, after he split with his long time partner and friend PRESH. LIMPOPO has really made him TAKE OVER. This song really brought him back to where he belong i.e the top. He also signed an endorsement deal with tele comm giant MTN. He dropped many hitz this year. He also dropped his debut album as a solo artiste TAKE OVER.

SHO LEE – , No one knew him when he was a member of NINJA NINJA crew headed by sound sultan and his elder brother Baba Dee. Sean tizle made his way into the hearts of many music lovers with his hit single SHO LEE. His soft tone and voice dazzle everyone. Ever since the release of this song he has been one of the hottest artiste in the country,he also won an hundai SUV as the NEXT RATED artists @ the headies awards. not forgetting his label owner D’TUNES touch on the beat. He did a massive job. Congrats to him.

GHOST MODE – PHYNO FT OLAMIDE, fino fino as he is fondly called by his admirers no doubt swept everybody off, with his style of rap. The song won the best collaboration of the year, not doubt it was well deserved. Now I can boldly say am proud to be an IGBO. He has redefined igbo rap music with his style. Not forgetting olamide’s touch also. Their combination was awesome.

JAIYE JAIYE – FT FEMI KUTI, call him starbouy he will also answer you, the young ceo of starbouy entertainment released lots of hitz this year, his tone and style still makes young adults fall inlove with is music. No doubt the touch of legendary afro beat metro femi kuti makes JAIYE JAIYE hit this year. Wizzy is set to drop his second studio album soon.

LIKE TO PARTY – BURNA BOY, you can call him the most controversial celebrity in 2013, you ain’t lying, there’s no doubt that this song brought oluwaburna to lime light. His uniqueness in this song was fascinating, I was wondering if he was a Nigerian the first day I heard the song. Ever since he released LIKE TO PARTY he has shot himself among the elite artists in Nigeria, plus the endorsement deal he signed with tele comm giant GLOBACOM. He also released his debut album this year L.I.F.E

THE KICK – , he makes his return this year on then top10 list, hmmm his former boss DON JAZZY announced his departure from MAVIN RECORDS in this song. Yea surprised? He flaunts his new label for him lolz (ORIGINAL BLACK DIAMOND) listen to the song again. No doubt this song was a hitz. you could feel DON JAZZY’s touch in this song also. Its no longer news that he has parted ways with MAVIN RECORDS. Now signed to his own label BLACK DIAMOND ENTERTAINMENT. Expecting more hitz next year.

EMINADO – , you can call her the first lady of MAVIN RECORDS you ain’t mistaking, this song was an instant hit after “its” release, don jazzy has proven to be good producer and singer. The singer tied the knot with her long time manager and heart rob teebliz last month. Congrats expecting more hitz next year.

BONUS
FLAVOUR – ADA ADA,
This “list” cant be complete without adding ADA ADA by Flavor, this song made waves, because it was played in every parties. It also won him accolades at the NMVA on 15th November last month,where “flavour” won 4awards with this song. No doubt flavour release some hot singles this year. Congrats to him.
