R Kelly might go to Jail again over Child Support

R Kelly could soon be thrown back into jail after reportedly failing to pay child support to his ex-wife.

The R&B singer, who is facing a string of sexual assault charges, which he denies, was jailed in March after failing to cough up his monthly payments to ex Andrea Kelly.

She shares three children with her ex, Joann, 21, Jay, 19, and Robert Jr, 17. At the time, it was said that he had racked up delinquency of $161,633.

Now, TMZ reports that he’s missed his last two months of child support payments. He is required to pay $20,833 a month to his ex.

After being jailed in March, not long after he was arrested on sexual abuse charges, Kelly was released after he cleared his debt.

His missed payments were actually covered by someone else.

After getting out, Kelly went to court and asked a judge to lower his $20k a month payments, claiming he could no longer afford them.

The judge agreed to hear Kelly’s arguments, but that won’t happen until May 8.
