“Nollywood A-List actress, Kate Offiong Henshaw, sure knows that it is not an easy thing to single handedly fund a political campaign and has come out to solicit for fund as she prepares to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Samsung and Onga Brand Ambassador who suprised her fans when she came out to declare that she is gunning for the seat to represent her people in the Calabar South/Akpabuyo/Bakassi Federal Constituency in the House, believes she does not have the personal money to run a campaign and as such, has made a special appeal to her friends, fans and well-wishers to bankroll her political campaign.
To achieve this end, her campaign team has opened two different bank accounts in a commercial bank for her fans to donate their widow’s mite towards realising her political ambition.
The two accounts has the following numbers: 1004636127 and 5366103848 (Domiciliary accounts).
Kate who has always told her people that she is not going into politics because of money, agrees that her friends are actually the ones who opened the accounts to help gather funds for the campaign.
To emphasise her stance that she is not going into politics for monetary gains, Henshaw has changed her campaign slogan to this: ‘Vote for me if you want change.’“
