Pretty In Pink: Lanre DaSilva Ajayi Covers TW Magazine’s Fashion Issue (November)

This November TW is talking fashion in our special fashion issue! Our cover star is Lanre DaSilva Ajayi.

The Creative force behind iconic Nigerian fashion label LDA, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi is living every designers dream & speaks candidly about brand LDA, exploring new markets with a diffusion & ready to wear line, the “internet” effect, mentoring young designers & being one of a handful of select labels stocked at the Dolce & Gabbana Spiga2 Concept Store in Milan, Italy.

Our TW Personality this month is renowned Grammy Award winning music star Angelique Kidjo. The multi-talented Béninoise artiste who is now resident in New York opens about staying grounded with a hugely successful career spanning three decades, being fit at 53, family & being Africa’s premier diva.

Our celebrity is Mai Atafo, arguably one of the most influential designers of the moment. His designs are legendary for it’s fusion of hand drawn prints & vivid colours. Mai puts down his sketching pen to talk to TW about his transition from the corporate world to the runway.

We unveil & celebrate five women who are known for their less obvious work behind the scenes in the fashion industry, as they x-ray the different economic centers within the fashion industry – Ayo Van Elmar (Fashion Designer), Adeyinka Fowora (Textile Merchant), Sandra Itu (Fashion Stylist), Ono Bello (Online Media & PR Guru) & Kemi Ogunleye (Media Practitioner).

The third edition of the Lagos Fashion & Design Week just wrapped up & we at TW are echoing it on our fashion pages, by sharing our p!cks & trends fresh off the runway! To help maximize the options presented at Lagos Fashion Week our Practical Girls Guide offers practical guides to rocking the latest trends from the runway, whatever your dress size. We also have a look at the glitzy Lagos Fashion Week through the eyes of founder, Omoyemi Akerele.

Packed with our regular features on relationships, health, finance & beauty, plus articles to help you live your best, most authentic life, this edition is definitely one not to be missed!
