Health Workers Begin 3-Day Warning Strike In Kwara

Health workers under the auspices of the Kwara state chapter of joint council of Medical and Health workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) in collaboration with National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) will on Monday, November 20, commence a three day warning strike.

Daily Trust reports that the strike notice was contained in a statement jointly signed by the kwara state Chairman of NANNM, Cmr. Joseph Adekanye and that of MHWUN, Cmr. Muritala Olayinka Saheed on Sunday.

The Congress had written series of letters, giving 14 days ultimatum and added another seven days which expires on the 9th November, 2018 without any response from the state government.

It further added that if the state government failed to response towards the warning strike, the Congress will reconvene and take a drastic industrial action immediately.
