Another Nigerian man, Osa Alohaneke, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his 52-year- old Cameroonian fiancée, Evelyne Ebane Epiepang, to death at the apartment they both share in Fort Bend County, Texas, USA.
The 56-year-old Alohaneke is now facing murder charges and if convicted, could be sentenced to death as Texas is one of the states in the US where the death penalty is still in force.
According to a statement from the police, the victim had called the police to come to their home in the evening of Wednesday, April 8, informing the cops that her fiancé had attacked and threatened to kill her.
But when the police got there, Osa had already left but two hours later, Osa returned to the home and confronted the victim who was with her sister and another male family friend.
By 7pm that same day, the police was called back to the house and they found that Epiepang had been stabbed to death.
She was found in the pool of her blood inside the home, with the sister also stabbed but alive and the male family friend uninjured.
The culprit was found nearby with blood all over him and during interrogation, told the police that Epiepang was his fiancée and they lived at the house.
Osa is being held in the Fort Bend County jail for the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
