Aguero Banks holds a simple philosophy: the streets made him, and music will save him. Born Chukwu Francis Chukwubuikem in Enugu State, the Nigerian rapper lived the struggle he raps about—surviving as a child in the southeastern town of Amabiriba Okpanku, dreaming of a way out. He started stacking hits in 2023, but his 2024 debut album The Hero marked his arrival. The project blended raw Igbo flow with streetwise storytelling, earning him a reputation as one of Enugu’s sharpest young voices. Now he returns with “Oku,” a collaboration that pulls in two of Nigeria’s most distinctive lyrical forces.

Wizard Chan arrives from a different world. The Port Harcourt native, born Fuayefika Maxwell, built his name on genre fusion—reggae, highlife, hip-hop, and soul all wrapped into one. His 2022 breakout “Earth Song” earned him awards at The Headies and the Galaxy Music Awards in 2023. In January 2025, he released his debut album Loner (Alone), a deeply personal project that opened with the chaotic noise of the world drowning out a newborn’s cry, a metaphor for how the public defines you before you speak. The album earned a Headies nomination for Album of the Year. His sound is spiritual and grounded, a native doctor’s incantation set to a digital beat.

ODUMODUBLVCK, born Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu in Lagos, rounds out the trio. A member of the Anti World Gangstars, he built his following on aggressive flows and a signature style that blends grime, drill, and Afrobeats. He carries the spirit of the streets in his delivery, often seen in the Okpu Agu, the traditional Igbo warrior hat. His 2022 EP Eziokwu cemented his status as a force in modern Nigerian hip-hop.

“Oku” arrives on May 14, 2026, as a highlight from Aguero Banks’ project THE RETURN (Eze Onyịkọ), executive produced by legendary indigenous rap icon Phyno. The track runs three minutes. Insane Chips, the Nigerian producer whose real name is Oku Chibuike, handles the production. The beat is a hard-hitting blend of heavy percussion and Afro-fusion elements, designed to ignite both the streets and the dance floor.

Aguero Banks opens with a declaration that sets the tone: “I came, I saw, I conquered.” He raps in his signature Igbo flow, a mix of English and his native tongue that feels both ancient and urgent. Wizard Chan enters with a soulful, spiritual verse. He sings about prayer and hard work, about a gangster’s plea to a higher power. ODUMODUBLVCK closes the track with raw energy, his deep voice cutting through the beat. “Fire go burn men,” he warns. The official music video, streaming on YouTube, matches the song’s intensity. The visuals are dark and gritty, shot in what looks like an abandoned warehouse. The three artists trade verses in the shadows, their faces lit by flickering lights. Stream “Oku” now on all major platforms.
