Ghanaian musician Ayisi released his new single “Baggage.” The track comes from his extended play project Evergreen 2.0 and is available on all major music platforms. The song was produced by Groovy. The release is credited to his own label, A-Konnekt Music, and is distributed by Yve Digital. Ayisi, born Emmanuel Kwadwo Ayisi Oware in Accra, began his career over a decade ago, first gaining recognition under the stage name A.I. His musical foundation was built early, influenced by his father’s drumming and vast record collection.

He started recording songs while in secondary school. His career reached an early milestone when his song “Anger Management” won first place in the Hip-Hop/R&B category of the International Songwriting Competition, marking the first time an artist from Ghana had won a category in that prestigious contest. His more recent work, including the 2023 single “Can I Live,” earned him the Record of the Year award at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards. Ayisi’s music often blends genres, moving between Afro-pop, hip-hop, and R&B, and incorporates multiple languages including English, Twi, and Patois. His discography includes several EPs, with Evergreen 2.0 serving as an updated version of a previous project. The release of “Baggage” demonstrates his continued output and connection with the contemporary African music scene through the distribution partnership with Yve Digital, a platform focused on amplifying artists globally.
