British singer-songwriter Becky Hill teamed up with Leeds-based DJ Lewis Thompson, who is known as one of British DJ duo Just Kiddin, to release a new song “Side Effects” on May 12, 2023.

For Becky Hill, the song is her first own music in two years since the 2021 debut album “Only Honest on the Weekend”.

Also, the track will appear on her forthcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released in 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between Becky Hill and Lewis Thompson. The track was written by Becky Hill, Jon Shave, Karen Poole, Uzoechi Emenike, and Lewis Thompson. Produced by Jon Shave and Lewis Thompson. The accompanying music video was directed by KC Locke.

Becky Hill said of the song, “I haven’t released a solo record in over a year, so coming out the door after a second BRIT win feels very exciting! I’m playing the UK’s best festivals this year and I can’t wait for people to have a new song to sing along with me. ‘Side Effects’ has been made with my favourite people in the industry and this one really feels like the beginning of my new chapter in my artistry. Album two here we come.”

Recently, Becky Hill wrote London-based DJ Sub Focus’ new song “I Found You”.

Lewis Thompson shared on social media, “Side Effects is out today with Becky Hill making today a v special one! Can’t remember a time I’ve been more excited to put a tune out. Hope u guys love this record as much as we do.”
