As Che’ Noir and Apollo Brown get ready to release their joint project next month, they’ve returned with a brand new single titled, “Freedom.” It’s a timely record reflecting the times that we’re in, specifically at a time when there’s a desperate need for systemic change, though it was recorded prior to the tragic murder of George Floyd at the hands of the police.
“‘Freedom’ was a song I wrote at the end of 2019,” Che Noire said about the song to HipHopDX. “It was before the George Floyd murder and before all the protesting and looting started happening in the U.S. It’s a song I feel like my people needed at the time, not even realizing months later I would be witnessing the biggest revolution of my lifetime.”

Quotable Lyrics
Reached the heights your destined, n***a, we define the essence
Took my rap money, made a team from our investments
Get my family out the hood, the only reason I’m out here stressin’
Small city but n***as carry heat the size of Precious
