Venezuelan-American singer and songwriter Elena Rose has spent years handing hits to other people. The Miami-born, Caracas-raised artist, whose full name is Andrea Elena Mangiamarchi, co-wrote “Mamiii” for Karol G and Becky G, penned tracks for Jennifer Lopez and Selena Gomez, and became one of the most sought-after Latin songwriters of her generation. In 2022, she stepped from behind the curtain and signed with Warner Music Latina. Her debut EP “No Quiero Que Se Acabe Este Bendito Verano” arrived in late May 2026. The project’s lead single, “La Semana,” pairs her with Manuel Turizo, the Colombian reggaeton singer who broke through in 2017 with “Una Lady Como Tú” and scored a global smash with “La Bachata” in 2023. Turizo, born in Montería, learned saxophone, guitar, and piano as a child. His older brother Julián convinced him to take singing lessons. The gamble paid off.
“La Semana” runs four minutes. The production, handled by Mazzarri and Neneto, blends Afrobeats-inspired percussion with light, summery pop textures. The lyrics map a relationship across the days of the week. Monday is for loving. Tuesday is for devouring. Wednesday through Friday repeat the same cycle. The weekend belongs to the beach. The official music video, directed in a wester-‑chic aesthetic, follows the two artists on a motorcycle through desert landscapes. They stop in different locations, one for each day of the week, a visual translation of the song’s lyrical itinerary. Elena Rose appears alone in some shots, running her hands through her hair, a gesture that ties directly to a line in the track. Turizo matches her energy, the two singers trading verses without ever losing the easy chemistry that the song requires. The video premiered on May 22, 2026, one day after the single landed on streaming platforms. A teaser featuring the motorcycle and the desert setting circulated days earlier, pushing anticipation to a peak.
