German film composer Hans Zimmer has a new destination. “Joshua Tree,” released in late May 2026 via Milan Records, is a three-minute instrumental cue from the “Euphoria: Season 3 (HBO Original Series Soundtrack)” project. The track appears as the 18th piece on the album, which runs an hour and six minutes across 23 songs. Zimmer, born in Frankfurt in 1957 and now based in Los Angeles, owns a catalog of Academy Awards, Grammys, and Golden Globes. He scored “The Lion King,” “Gladiator,” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” series, and both “Dune” films. His soundtracks have grossed more than 28 billion dollars at the global box office.

For “Euphoria” season three, Zimmer takes over scoring duties from Labrinth, who composed the first two seasons. Labrinth departed the show ahead of the final season, which premiered on HBO in April 2026. The season’s visual palette shifts from suburban angst to a sun-scorched desert setting, and Zimmer’s score follows that lead. “Joshua Tree” is a tense, atmospheric piece built on low-string drones, distant percussion, and a sparse piano motif. The track feels like an open road at twilight, the kind of music that plays when a character drives toward something they cannot name.
