Isaac Dunbar’s first single of 2022, Bleach, is an uptempo baroque pop song with lyrical content that calls out Dunbar’s own habits of self-sabotage as well as liberation of his own shame.

In regards to Dunbar’s inspiration behind the maximalist genre-blending song, he stated on an Instagram story posted on the day of it’s release, “Inspiration came from me being ashamed of my decisions of the past and all of the bad things that were happening in my life; then realizing that I had to take responsibility and move on.”
