Multi-talented performing artiste, architect, vitiligo model and mixed martial artist, Jon Chikeluba Ikeobilor aka Eljhon, is kicking off 2019 with two powerful new singles.
The first song titled ‘Zone’ has got the budding rave unleashing smooth bars over a gentle piano-themed trap beat laid over organised synths laced with a bass drum, and requesting all other artistes to exit his “zone.” Some lines off the song like “Look I’ve been lowkey, been grinding, on time I’m back to the picture, so snap!” and “Now I’m down to earth like my sneakers, King of the new school na only me dey class” assures his fans that he is the rightful heir to the rap/trap/hiphop throne and is simply the best in his zone. ‘Zone’ is the type of song that will make you a believer if you previously doubted his talent and lyrical dexterity.
The next song ‘Igbo Kwenu’ was specially dedicated to the Igbo tribe/culture and it has the rapper proudly celebrating his Igbo roots. In the song titled ‘Igbo Kwenu’, Eljhon brandishes lyrics served hot over yet another trap beat, giving a well-deserved hype to the south-eastern culture. Still riding the wave, the rapper also enlisted Enugu-based underground hype man, Bester Nwa Guy, who dishes out a comic piece towards the end of the song.
Both songs were recorded in English, Igbo and Pidgin English respectively. Eljhon is set to have a power-packed 2019 as he has already got multiple singles mapped out and set for release all through the year. Enjoy the double wahala and hit Eljhon up on Twitter & Instagram.
