Tiwa Savage, the “Queen of Afrobeats,” was born in Lagos on February 5, 1980, and moved to London at eleven. She began her career singing backup for George Michael, Sting, and Mary J. Blige before returning to Nigeria to become one of the continent’s most iconic voices. Flavour, born Chinedu Okoli in Enugu on November 23, 1983, began his career as a church drummer and is known for his smooth fusion of highlife, R&B, and hip-hop, often singing in Igbo. KFMD, the rising talent who released his debut project in 2025, has positioned himself as a connector of generations.
“Lady” is a vibrant and smooth Afrobeat and highlife record about finding a partner who feels like a blessing and an answered prayer.
