“Want Want” is the second single from Maggie Rogers’ second major-label album, Surrender.
The song was first performed live at the annual Coachella music festival on April 17, 2022.

A month after the performance, Maggie started teasing the song on her TikTok account, in the same way, she did with “That’s Where I Am,” the album’s previous single.

On May 25, she announced that the song would be released on June 1, and on her Discord server, she explained how its release date was delayed due to her graduation from Harvard Divinity School. She also revealed that it was the second song written for the album.
