A young star is rising out of Ikorodu, he is creating a storm and gathering fans from energetic performances at local shows and bars. Allow me to introduce to you; Isaac Babajide Williams born 7th November 1992. His stage name is KLAWUD (pronounced cloud) and he is a talented singer, song writer and record producer. Growing up in a musically influenced family, he showed an early interest in music, and an immense talent as a boy. With only a younger brother as a sibling, he suffered the tragic loss of his mum as a teenager. His father is supportive of his career allowing him to explore and pursue his musical talents and artistic aspirations.
KLWAUD’s musical style crosses many genres with his distinctive silky voice. He writes lyrics and hooks that are infectious whilst riding with ease, various rhythms ranging from Afro-beat, Hip Hop, RnB and Reggae to name but a few. He has spent the last few years horning his craft whilst doing the rounds at various shows, events and clubs. KLAWUD has also kept busy by producing and writing for several up and coming artist whilst featuring on some of the tracks.
His latest single “HUSTLE”, is produced by Mystro (Immediately ft.Wiz Kid) and it is feel-good music at its best. With a catchy hook, the song simply flows with ease. Mystro’s production is tight as ever, layered with lovely rhythmic percussions, synths that accompany the bassline and a groove that ensures you can’t stop dancing or singing along. The production is done justice by carefully thought lyrics from KLAWUD, expressing his state of mind as a hard worker – a hustler. With vocals gliding along in harmony with the beat, the depth of his vocals can certainly be felt on this track. The lyrics are uplifting, and the songs sends a positive message which will impact many age groups, especially the youths – this could truly be a classic in the making.
“CARIBBEAN MAKOSA” is another collaboration between KLAWUD and producer Mystro. This one is for the clubs with its heavy bass line and reggaeton feel, can this duo do anything wrong?
