American singer Noah Kahan releases The Great Divide. Produced by Gabe Simon and Aaron Dessner under Mercury Records.

American singer and songwriter Noah Kahan releases his latest single, The Great Divide, marking his first original output since the massive success of his previous era. The five-minute recording serves as the lead track and namesake for his fourth studio album, which arrives this April. Gabe Simon and Aaron Dessner produced the song, recording the material across various locations including Nashville and the famed Long Pond Studio in New York. The release comes through Mercury Records and Republic Records, continuing Kahan’s partnership with the Universal Music Group labels. Born in Strafford, Vermont, the artist initially gained attention in twenty-seventeen with his debut single Young Blood and his breakout hit Hurt Somebody.

Kahan achieved significant milestones in twenty-two and twenty-three when his album Stick Season became a global phenomenon, earning him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. His history includes a transition from indie-pop sounds to a deeply rooted folk-pop style that explores themes of home, isolation, and mental health. The Great Divide illustrates a further evolution of this sound, utilizing a more expansive and anthemic arrangement while maintaining his signature vulnerability. This release follows a year of high-profile collaborations with artists like Post Malone, Hozier, and Kacey Musgraves. The accompanying music video premiered during the Grammy Awards broadcast on the first of February, showcasing a narrative of grief and healing.
