“I felt like I needed such a pronounced yet groovy re-entry to the scene to communicate all the pent-up feelings I’ve held in while keeping it light and easily palatable for listeners,” Nonso says of his comeback to music. “I was driven by the concept of writing a song that addressed both my withdrawal from the music industry and the traditional love drama my R&B-self is typically pulled to making during the process of creating Foreigner,” Nonso continues.
