“Take a Bow” is about Rih’s not wanting to rekindle her relationship with an unfaithful ex. She’s tired of hearing his excuses and wants to let him know it’s over for good.

The song (along with “Disturbia”) was of two new songs recorded for Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded. The song debuted at #53 and peaked at #1—marking the second largest leap to number one in the history of the Billboard charts—a feat that only Maroon 5’s “Makes Me Wonder” surpasses.
