After making his comeback in the world of music in October 2021 with the title “Santé”, the Belgian singer is once again coming to the forefront of the French-speaking scene with “l’Enfer”, the second single from his future album. Multitude announced for March 2022.

In order to promote this new appearance, Stromae was the guest of Anne-Claire Coudray on the set of the Journal de 20 heures de TF1 on January 9, 2022 to perform the title exclusively.

The artist evokes in this piece the discomfort that he greatly felt during his artistic hiatus – having lasted eight years – and that he continues to feel: he then expresses the loneliness, as well as the suicidal thoughts that have left him. sometimes makes live “a hell” as it underlines it in the refrain.

While one might think that the live performance has no other interest than the place where it takes place, one can notice that the background of the decor on the green background of the newspaper adapts to the atmosphere of the track: the more the track advances in time, the more the environment in the background is gloomy, gray and dark; and the more Stromae’s facial features crumble under sincerity and sadness.
