TROD, the younger brother of late Nigerian rap icon Dagrin, spent years carrying a legacy he never asked for. Born Olaonipekun Olatubosun David in Ogun State, he grew up in the shadow of a legend—his brother Oladapo Olaitan Olanipekun, known as Dagrin, redefined indigenous rap before his tragic death in 2010. TROD did not run from the comparison. Rexxie, born Ezeh Chisom Faith in Anambra on November 10, 1994, is a two-time Grammy-winning producer, DJ, and songwriter. He learned piano in his local church and built beats for artists like Burna Boy, Zlatan, and Naira Marley before stepping into the spotlight himself. He created the Zanku sound. He produced on Burna Boy’s “Twice As Tall,” which earned him a Grammy. He won African Producer of the Year at the SoundCity MVP Awards and Producer of the Year at the 2023 Headies for “Abracadabra Remix”. He also owns HitxLab Records. TROD and Rexxie have history. They first worked together on “Gogo” years ago. “Problem” brings them back to the same room. The track is a Yoruba-infused rap anthem.
