American singer-songwriter Willow Smith, who performs as WILLOW, has announced her ninth studio album, The Thread. The set arrives July 24 via Three Six Zero Recordings. To preview the project, she dropped “Talk On The Hill” on May 29, 2026. The track reunites WILLOW with producer Chris Greatti, her collaborator on <COPINGMECHANISM> (2022) and the Grammy-nominated empathogen (2024). The single opens with WILLOW’s layered, ethereal vocals set against a steady drumbeat and atmospheric instrumentation. She wrote the song after discovering The Telepathy Tapes, a podcast by filmmaker Ky Dickens and researcher Dr. Diane Hennacy Powell. The series explores nontraditional communication and the boundaries between science and spirituality.

The official visualizer, streaming on YouTube, places WILLOW in an elegant purple dress on a grassy set against a red backdrop.
