WurlD, the Nigerian-American artist known for his distinct fusion of Afrobeats and R&B, joins forces with the production duo Echolocation for the new single “Faya.” The track serves as the first release from the newly announced “Metal Hearts” body of work.
Production comes from Michael James Enright and Max Aaron Gruenberg, the minds behind Echolocation. WurlD, born Sadiq Onifade, built a dedicated following with his early EPs and his work with other artists in the Afrobeats scene. His move to Atlanta marked a significant turn, allowing his sound to reach international audiences and solidify his cross-cultural appeal.

His previous project, “My WorlD With U,” demonstrated his growth as a songwriter capable of blending infectious melodies with emotional depth. The “Metal Hearts” title suggests a thematic exploration of resilience and strength, with “Faya” acting as its powerful introduction.
