“WTF,” the Nicki Minaj-accompanied track is the lead single to YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s highly anticipated sixth full-length studio album, Don’t Try This At Home. The warm, melodic beat sees both artists use a mix of singing and rapping enabling the song to flow satisfactorily.

The song’s production sees a mild use of 808s alongside several shaker-like instruments to enhance its soothing value. Background vocals from unknown artists are also applied behind the two artists, adding a Gospel-like feel to the track. The song also includes a similar tone and cadence to YoungBoy’s recently released “Demon Party,” however heavily contrasts “NEXT” and “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.”

The Issac Garcia-directed music video sees several ballerinas — which play into YoungBoy’s lyrics and the song’s subtle theme — while also seeing YoungBoy and Nicki naturally dance around.

The single was first announced through YoungBoy’s label’s Instagram in a post in which the cover art and the song’s release date would be revealed alongside noting that the pre-save for the album would also be released. Days later, in an Instagram post, Nicki Minaj shared a fan-made unused cover art while she also announced the track.
