VJ, a prodigy from Senegal, started singing at age thirteen. He gained national attention at seventeen with his breakout single “Dans tes bras”. His early use of social media helped him achieve a rare feat, selling out a concert with only a few songs to his name. He released his debut EP “En Vrai” in 2022 and later secured a major label deal with Warner Music’s Rec 118 in partnership with Hoside. His career highlights include performances at major venues like the Grand Théâtre de Dakar, and he has amassed over ninety million YouTube views. Sidiki Diabaté comes from a different but equally prestigious background. He is a Malian kora player, singer, and producer born into the 71st generation of a griot family. As the son of famed kora master Toumani Diabaté and the grandson of his namesake, Sidiki Diabaté, he inherits a deep musical legacy. He began his recording career in a duo with his father and has been a member of the musical collective Lamomali.
