After the huge success of his 2020 debut “Call“, Joeboy dropped a piece of new potential hit music titled “Lonely“. In typical Joeboy fashion, the music titan delivers a racy and super-catchy pop anthem in less than 3 minutes with his 2020 first outing. Aided by “Baby” producer Dera, Joe continues his epic love tale layered over extremely groovy and percussion-driven instrumentation as he melodiously sings; “Why be sey na you dey ma mind? Say you no be option no be lie, Oya make we run away make we fly away…” on ‘Call’, He returns with his sultry magical vocals yet again to tell his lover that “I need you in my space o, I want you in my space oh… I just know that I don’t wanna be Lonely Lonely tonight…“

“Lonely” is the first taste of Joeboy’s new album setting the tempo for the much-anticipated project from one of Afropop’s rising stars. A specialist in earnest love songs who’s never afraid to show his vulnerability, Joeboy lays it all on the line on “Lonely,” shooting his shot with the girl he’s had his eye on. The “Lonely” music video was shot in Lagos by Nigerian director Adetula “KingTula” Adebowale, and follows the story of two shy neighbours who suddenly realize their mutual interest in one another.
