“For those who have been wondering why You don hit my car singer, Tony Tetuila, was conspicuously absent at the Kwara State All Progressive Congress, APC, primary elections held yesterday to select aspirants that will represent the party at various stages of the 2015, Pulse.ng can inform that the former Remedy act had to take the decision to save his face from any form of embarrassment and blacklisting from the party hierarchy.
Party insiders informed us that Tetuila, who declared his intention to vie for a seat in the state House of Assembly, and was warming up for the primaries, was earlier warned by stakeholders and party elders in his constituency to bury his ambition for now and step down for a more grounded politician so that the party would not lose the election proper.
Their understanding was that Tony is still a greenhorn in the political terrain and as such, was not ripe enough for the position he was gunning for. He was therefore advised, for his own political and personal interest to forget the position, at least for now, while he should support the party’s choice and wait for his turn.
So it was no surprise that he was no where near the venue of the election yesterday.”
