“SG” (Sexy Girl), a latin dancehall track, is about getting carried away by a sexy girl to spend a good time together. The last part of the upbeat song, gives it a sweet ending since she wants to fall in love instead of just spending one night together.
DJ Snake first hinted at the collaboration with LISA on a May 2021 Twitter thread, responding to a fan comment. The thread has since been deleted. Later, on the same month, he teased the song again with an Instagram story, tagging both BLACKPINK’s and LISA’s official accounts. LISA’s name could also be seen on the vocal track’s title.
On October 13, 2021, DJ Snake officially announced the song title and all featured artists. He has worked with Ozuna before, including the 2018 hit “Taki Taki,” which was interpolated into this song. The rest of the artists have never worked together and the song marks their first collaboration.
