“Waffle House” is the second and final single from the Jonas Brothers’ sixth studio album, The Album, following the release of February 2022’s “Wings.” Lyrically, the boys call back to their issues and competition with one another as siblings and also reminisce on the happy moments that also came.

On January 27, 2023, the boys sat down for an interview with Variety, in which they talked about their album, and this song was one of the few song titles that they revealed. The boys shared a snippet of the song on March 14, 2023. After promoting the song a little more, they announced the release date of the song and shared its cover art eight days later, and gave some insight on what the idea for the song was.
