In “Heaven (Remix),” Shygirl teams up with the multi-talented Tinashe to lovingly ask their exes if they’re willing to look over their mistakes and attempt reconciliation. This single also claims a spot in Shygirl’s forthcoming deluxe edition of her debut album Nymph_o.
On February 21, 2023, the remix was first teased on Shygirl’s Instagram, where she posted a message exchange with Tinashe expressing on how they urged to release this track.
A few days later, on February 26, 2023, the single was announced on Shygirl’s Instagram along with the release date and artwork:

On February 28, 2023, Shygirl joined Radio 1’s Future Sounds with Clara Amfo for an interview, explaining how the feature with Tinashe came about:
Luckily enough, she reached out to me, I was really lucky, like I said, with the album. It’s a conversation starter. So it’s like if someone gets it, they reach out and they continue that, and I think Tinashe really got the vibe, especially with “Heaven.” When she first started talking to me, I said, “Oh, maybe this other song” and she was like, “No.” So she kind of claimed it and I prefer that, when someone really feels an affinity with the track, because obviously, like her emotion lead into this remix.
